How do you know about Kaplan?
I heard about Kaplan from my sister, who took a TOEFL course here. I also knew about Kaplan when I was studying my Master in the USA.
Before taking the class at Kaplan, how was your GRE score?
My GRE score at that time was not so good. I had problems with quantitative section because I had not studied math since Grade 9.
After taking GRE class at Kaplan, have your GRE scores improved?
Certainly! My math teacher helped me a lot. He usually gave me assignment before the next class. So, I was able to clarify the points that I didn’t understand with him. For the verbal section, my instructor taught me to understand difficult vocabulary by using prefix, suffix, roots and second meaning of words. In addition, he taught me how to make a clever guess and how to read long passages within time limit. Currently, my verbal score is 570, my quantitative score is 600 and my analytical writing is 5.
How Kaplan can help you to improve your score?
The library and Kaplan computer-based practice assisted me a lot. Also, the computer-based practice helped me to understand particular topics. I know what GRE CAT is and hot to finish the question on time.
At the end, what do you want to share with other students about your experience at Kaplan?
Not only Kaplan is the best in tutorial courses like TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, and USMLE but it is also the place that you could make friends and know more people. I always shared my knowledge with my friends and they helped me to understand math better.
When your score was not so good, what did you do to encourage yourself?
Take a break after having GRE test. Don’t feel desperate. Try to memorize your flash card as much as you can. Also bring your flash card with you wherever you go. Practice math questions everyday. This approach will help you boost up your GRE score. Moreover, don’t study the day before the exam; otherwise, you will be confused and nervous.
