Miss Kamala Kunnaleka
GMAT Official Score 720
Why did you choose "Kaplan"?
Actually, I became a Kaplan student during my undergraduate study. At that time, I needed to prepare for the TOEFL exam. My friends recommended Kaplan to me and, like my friends, I was impressed by Kaplan teacher techniques and course materials. Later on, when I had to study for the GMAT exam, Kaplan was the first place I thought of.
How did you score on the GMAT pre-test?
I got around 480 or 490 (I can't remember exactly). It was not good because I didn't prepare for pre-test before taking it.
How did Kaplan help you?
The main reason I raised my score is Kaplan. Not only did I receive strategies for taking the test but my Kaplan teachers also helped me a lot. If I had any questions from the lesson book, the teachers were always willing to help me.
Did you use Kaplan facilities often?
Early in the course, I didn't use the facilities often but used them more as my test date got closer.
Which Kaplan Facilities do you think are most important?
I think all of the facilities at Kaplan are very important, especially the Online Assets in www.kaptest.com Students often forget to use this asset, but it answers many of the questions that are useful when preparing to take the real GMAT test.
Please kindly guide other students. How should they prepare before taking the real test?
First, you should evaluate yourself. What are your weaknesses? What are your strengths? If you know about your weaknesses, you can then find the best way to improve these areas by discussing them with your teacher. About your strengths, you should still practice these areas to keep them stable.
How about your real score?
I scored a 720!
Finally, how would you guide your friends who plan to take the test?
Generally, people think that the GMAT is a test that measures only your level of knowledge, but I think it also measures your ability to control yourself and remain calm during test time. Therefore, I think it's very important to practice often.
One more thing: You should have to think positive and not accept failure. Practice as many tests as you can find. Finally I want to pass a quote on to everyone:
"A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins."
